Subject: Underglaze blue and white (sometsuke) dragon's gate design in middle of a carp leaping out of the water, surrounded by enamel painted and sometsuke designs of the three friends of winter (Sho-Chiku-Bai), tortoise shell patterns, pine trees, and cranes. Basically, symbols of longevity, life, perseverance, and overcoming adversity. The rear with XO designs, takarabune auspicious treasures, and more tortoise shell patterns
