Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. No cracks or chips. Some light surface wear.
Subject: Painted red, orange, gold, and underglaze blue designs of a waterfall and pagoda, a lake with boats and birds, flowers, waves, and fish. Likely showing scenes from around Lake Biwa, where Koto ware was made. Decorations are similar to Kutani ware. An unusual sake cup with a hole in the side of the base, used to attach a cord so it can be used as a netsuke / sagemono to hang from the obi (sash) on the kimono. It would probably hang together a gourd drinking flask
