Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Repaired chip to one corner of lid. Upper rim of bottom piece has one repaired chip, and there is a lot of glue on inside around upper rim, but no other repairs are visible.
Subject: Large lidded jar or water jar (mizusashi) in form of a 5-sided fruit or seed pod with thick red-brown kaki (persimmon) glaze. Kawai Kanjiro made similar jars in 4-sided and 3-sided variations as well.
