Subject: Made from partly stained / dyed stag antler, netsuke depicts a Bakemono of some kind, a Yokai (spirit / monster) or Yurei (ghost), posing as a monstrous Jizo or Buddha statue (note the long ears and third eye), with it's eyes falling out.
