Condition: Item is used in fair condition commensurate with age, see photos. Chip to mane of horse or donkey. Small chip to inside of front left leg of horse / donkey.
Subject: From his Burnished Period, in the Canelo (Cinnamon) pottery style. A symbolic nativity scene man (Joseph?), woman (Mary?), and child (Jesus?) ride on the back of a horse or donkey, with a dog or goat on the side, and a bird (dove?) attached on a wire above the man's head. The man has a water gourd on his back, and the woman has a hat on her back. The horse and man have stylized patterns painted or glazed on. The piece has many small holes, for firing, with the small pieces of hardened clay rolling around inside the piece like a bell.
