Born in Mashiko Town. Graduated from Moka High School and began his career in ceramics in 1957. Studied under Kimura Ichiro. Active mainly in solo exhibitions. Solo exhibitions at Sapporo, Muroran Marui, and Utsunomiya Ueno every other year since 1966. Holds four-man exhibitions of Ichiro Kimura’s family. Focuses on glayish celadon and cinnabar.
