Subject: Rare Makuzu Kozan tea bowl, in style of Ogata Kenzan, with an autumn riverside landscape scene (Sansui), with thatch roof farmhouses, a pine tree, red maple leaves (momiji), yellow flowers (sunflowers?), and hills. A black kakiwake glaze (a feature borrowed from Miura Kenya's (Ogata Kenzan VI) ceramics) covers the back of this bowl. Chawan by Makuzu Kozan are relatively uncommon, but I've seen a few other similar examples at the Kamakura Kichichoan Museum 鎌倉 吉兆庵美術館 when they had an exhibit of his work in 2022
