Kinkozan Flowers Creamer

Material: Stoneware Ceramic Pottery (not porcelain; Satsuma wares are not made from porcelain).
Age: Late Meiji Period (early 20th Century, early 1900s).
Origin/Maker: Japanese, Kyoto Satsuma (Kyo-Satsuma), marked Kinkozan in red enamel. Kinkozan made Kyo-Satsuma wares in several distinct styles, including this Ko-Kiyomizu inspired Awata Satsuma style. In this style of wares they usually signed in red or gold somewhere on the side of the piece instead of on the bottom. They also made Art Deco and Studio Porcelain inspired pieces, and highly detailed Kagoshima Satsuma styled pieces.

Condition: Items are used in good condition commensurate with age. No chips or cracks. An original to manufacture rough spot in the glaze on the spout. Surface craquelure, as is normal for Satsuma wares.
